The letter's comment about the envelope is a reference to Fermat's Last Theorem. Nerdy, yes.
Fun Fact: the day before I drew this strip, somebody did a Google search for "militia utah" and wound up at the Mustang Militia page. After I drew this strip, I went back and checked on the IP address that shows in the log. It resolved to somebody on the ldschurch.org domain. Told you that letter was mysterious.
